Reaching Haiti for Christ! Mission of Hope is a 72 acre complex for missions in Haiti. The facilities there are for the implementation of missions to the people of Haiti and to the short term missionaries for one or two weeks at a time. Lives are changed forever by the power of Christ working in the hearts of both the missionaries and the Haitian people. Opportunities are given for short term missionaries to serve in a variety of ways The Mission of Hope Complex has a variety of tools used in ministry for Christ. The ground itself has been dedicated to God for His use in reaching a desperate people is need of a Savior. The various components of the complex make up a coordinated effort to accomplish this task. So, buildings become tools and real estate becomes the focal point of where ministry is taking place with Jesus Christ as the focus of all activity.	Brad & Venessa Johnson Family Mission Directors
Mission Teams are made up of ordinary people who have committed themselves to one week or more of service to God in a place called Haiti. There are many avenues of service available to the volunteer. As you look over the opportunities available, you may find yourself drawn to more than one area of the work. That's alright, you can divide your week however you feel led. You may serve part of the time on one team and then switch to another team. Flexibility is the key to a successful experience. Who knows, you may just find that God has a whole new plan for your life that is just waiting to be discovered in Haiti. Open yourself to the possibilities as you examine the various teams. Music Teams: Each trip to Haiti finds opportunities for those with musical ability to serve at the Mission of Hope. There are worship services that can use special music. Often we conduct evangelistic crusades where a large portion of the service is given to praise. There are opportunities to teach children how to sing praise choruses. Devotional times within the Haiti team are opportunities for you to share your god given talent and both be a blessing as well as be blessed. Music is an important part of life in Haiti! Orphan Ministry: One of the Ministries is an orphanage. There are so many Haitian children who are homeless and have no one to be responsible for them. The former living quarters of the resident missionaries have been converted into space for the orphanage.The remodeled home now provides housing for orphans. Teaching Ministry: The School of Hope is at the heart of the future for Mission of Hope. This Christian focused, Bible centered education for the children of surrounding villages will impact not only the future of the region, but we believe the future of Haiti. The nation needs people who have a sound education. This school provides not only a sound education in language, math, science and social studies, it uses the Bible as one of its texts. Vacation Bible School Ministry: Children everywhere love Vacation Bible School. The children of Haiti are no exception. Each visiting team member has an opportunity to serve on the VBS team. Usually, just announcing that tomorrow we will have VBS, produces hundreds of children eager an excited about attending. So, the VBS team is a vital part of any visiting group of volunteer missionaries. As you can imagine, it takes several people to plan and produce a successful VBS. Sports Ministry: Team members of the Sports Team work young people through sports. Basket ball and soccer are very popular with the youth and provide a vehicle to reach them for Christ. Evangelism Ministry: The Personal Evangelism Team takes the Gospel to the people in their villages and homes. You will experience the joy of sharing your faith with people who are hungry for the truth. Everyone who is a believer is called to be a witness. You too can be His witnesses just by telling others the good news of the gospel. You will find that Haitians are very hospitable and will welcome you to their humble homes.
